Welcome to CALmoto Vespa, the newest member of the Bay Area Vespa community!
CALmoto was founded in 1981 as a BMW exclusive dealership by Kari and Gail Prager. The company grew consistently and by 1997 was one of the largest and most successful BMW dealers in the nation. CALmoto added the Triumph brand in 1995 (one of the first in the nation) and has been one of Triumph's top American dealers, achieving Triumph Premier Group Platinum status for the last two years. General Manager, Mike Meissner, joined the team in 2000. Our company is distinguished by the fact that we are all riders and take part in all types of riding, from touring, commuting, off road adventuring, or just Skyline cruising. In fact, for the last three years two of our staff have been commuting on Vespas, and whose positive experiences have been instrumental in our decision to take on the brand.
What can we offer Vespa customers?
A broad selection of colors and models to choose from, including demos, and a friendly, professional experience for our customers. We are here to support our customers in every way possible. Our parts and accessory inventory is rapidly growing to support our service department and over-the-counter sales, and our Master technicians are factory trained. We are committed to representing each brand individually within its own distinct environment and and with its own brand advocate. Over the next months we will demonstrate the same level of commitment to the new world of Vespa that we have shown to our BMW and Triumph brands. We're looking forward to future shop rides, seminars, and clinics for the world of scooters.
